As any New Yorker knows, summer in the city can be a bittersweet experience. Though the sun is finally shining after a seemingly endless winter, the concrete jungle is no beach; 90+ degree temperatures, dense humidity and high-volume tourism crowds drive many New Yorkers out for the summer, seeking respite in pricey vacation spots like The Hamptons. Indeed, as trends in self-care and wellness continue to rise, the city is seeing an influx of health-focused pop-ups and activations. From frozen coconut cream to cryo-facials, wellness retail can provide the overheated New Yorker the moment of peace they so crave. If you’ll be spending the summer in the city, or if you’re simply interested in what’s new for self-care retail in New York, PSFK put together a list of the seven can’t-miss NYC wellness experiences for the upcoming hot months of 2019:

The allergen-free, chemical-free, plant-based product touts its wellness appeal with ingredients like Reishi to “promote calmness, fight anxiety, and be your immune system’s best friend.”
